    About

I managed to pick up some lovely Rooster Almerino Aran in the Love Knitting sale - I couldn't resist, even though I had no idea what I was going to make it into! After much searching of patterns, I found the pattern for a Lancero vest - I think it was even a free pattern. Waistcoats are always great for that bit of extra warmth across the back and shoulders on chilly spring or autumn days, and this one has met up to expectations The yarn is beautifully soft and a pleasure to knit, and very warm. It shows up the 'V' pattern very well. As yet, I haven't washed it, but I'm not anticipating any problems as I've used the yarn before for hats and so far no one I've knitted for has complained. The pattern provides a nice interest, meeting in a V at the centre front and centre back, and the zip fastening makes it snug and warm.
