    About

This is based on the 1.5 hour beanie pattern, but I adapted it. I did mine on a size 6mm hook, because I preferred the appearance of the stitches. I needed to do a lot more rows than the pattern suggested and it took longer than 1.5 hours! Think my Pom-pom took me that long 😂! My fInished rectangle was
about 12 inches by 19 inches, as I didn’t want it quite so loose and floppy on top.

Notes: As above, adjusted pattern and finished rectangle was 12 inches by 19 inches.

Teresa if you put one hour beanie in YouTube, the pattern that I based this on comes up, but I adapted it. I’ve since made more of these, as everyone wanted one! Now I start with about 40-42 stitches (it doesn’t matter, cos you fold it over to preferred length) and work rows of trebles into back loop only. I do 38 rows using the Stylecraft chunky wool and that’s it. Sew it into a tube, running stitch one end, gather it up, turn it the right way and sew a Pom-pom on! My finished rectangle is roughly 12 by 19 inches, which is big enough for men and women as it’s stretchy. Good luck🍀

Oh and I used a 6mm hook...the video uses an 8, but I found stitches looked too loose.
