    About

I love the Luzia yarn from Louisa Harding and snapped up 6 balls of purple yarn in the January sales. I designed a basic chunky scarf for a friend who likes walks by the seaside even in the depths of winter.

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Circular 8.00mm (US 11) 60cm

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle

    Measurements

Notes: The pattern was a stretchy cast on of 36 stitches; knit one row (increasing by 1 on the 2nd and 2nd to last stitch); k2, p34, k2; knit one row (increasing by 1 on the 2nd and 2nd to last stitch); k2, p36, k2. Continue in stocking stitch but garter stitch for first two and last two stitches of each row, to prevent the edges curling. Finish by decreasing by 2 stitches, twice, with a purl row inbetween, to mirror the start. Complete with a stretchy cast off. The increase/decrease give rounded corners to the scarf.

Looks very luxurious Anna, and I love the colour. Might try one of these, I've added it to my favourites. Thanks for sharing your project.
