      It would be nice to have a knitted option for the poncho and indoor rugs. It could be easy to convert into a garter stitch version with a few simple sums. I still think in inches but given the measurements could adapt simple shapes into the knitted equivalent. Thank you for the inspiration. A creative writer. The yardage would be less using garter or stocking stitch than winter shells, and similar if making a simple rug. A garter or seed stitch border would prevent curling.

        Sorry, I crochet and don’t knit. But there are lots of free patterns available for both knitting and crochet. Good luck with your projects!
