    About

I get such a feeling of self-worth and satisfaction knowing that someone I may never have even met is wearing and enjoying something I created with my own hands. I live in Alberta, Canada but my knitting has been sent from Ontario to British Columbia. This poncho pattern is such fun to find colour combinations that match a person's lifestyle. They are really endless. If I wasn't knitting for others I really don't know what I would do with myself all day since retirement. It fills a void and gives me a purpose.
I used smaller needles for this one as the yarn was not as bulky as the previous ponchos, stuck to the stitch count of the pattern also for that reason. Since my main yarn was machine washable, I also looked for washable yarns to add to the colour scheme. I used two strands of the Stylecraft Batik as it was much lighter than the other two yarns but had the colours I needed.
