I did this as I had never knitted in the round before! I only realised after kntting a few rows that you can just keep knitting and this will provide stocking stitch.... (I was knitting a row then purling a row) However this gave the hat a different look which I liked. I also learned that double pointed needles are not single pointed needles but only after moving the stitches off the circular. So my hat ended up being a little bit smaller than intented. Also I wasn't keen on the pom pom so I took it off!!!! Great for learning this ! :)
