    About

We're living in a rental at the moment whilst we renovate a house. It's taking forever. Whilst I'm waiting I decided to make a new jumper for my teapot to bring a pop of colour to my new kitchen when we finally move in. I made it in stripes this time in pumpkin and white merino to keep my cuppa hot :-)

Really want to raise money for nhs during this terrible time. Can you please advise me how much wool would be required for each tea cosy and which wool would be cost effective. I intend to knit them in rainbow colours. Your help would be so appreciated. Thank you.

When I made this tea cosy I used wool from my stash so I don't know the exact amount as it was over 3 years ago. It's probably about 25g of each colour + more for the pom pom.If you're knitting rainbow colours then the amounts you will need will vary due to the stripes. DK yarns vary in length per ball so you may need slightly more or less of some yarns.I only ever use pure merino wool so if you're thinking of using acrylic yarn I'm afraid I can't recommend any as I don't use them.
