    About

I saw this pattern and was in love with it for weeks before I dared to buy and try it. It's for my 1.80cm/6'0 tall aunt, fitting it on myself even though she's a bit taller than me.
I'm in love with the elegant and clean structure of that piece. I learned how to do v-stitch and ltr-stitch for this project and definitely faced a number of challenges since it's a bit advanced.
Currently, I'm fiddling with the first sleeve (safetypins for now) so that I can see what's the right length for the sleeves and whether the pattern works out at all. There were some problems (did i get it wrong?), but I figured it out. Just don't sew anything together before fitting it with safety pins. It can prevent a lot of frustration.

Update: It's done. I worked on it in 6 countries & used more than 1000 yards of yarn. And 6'0/1,80m tall auntie loves her new cardi with plenty of room for her shoulders.

Did you have any trouble getting the right guage? I am getting the correct height but it's not wide enough.

Hi, did you sort guage problem, as I'm also having problems with width - 9st only give me 5cm but height ok.

@christine H: hello- wasn't able to sort it out so just sidelined it until I feel more ambitious and up to figuring it out.

@Jennifer S: hi, think I've sorted guage - it should read 9 lots of ptr(paired trebles). Just started 'back'
.... warning though, followed instructions to approx row10, ended up with odd shape - tried 3 times and unpicked x3. 4th time lucky?

Die Jacke sieht wunderschön aus. Gibt es denn die Anleitung nicht auch in deutsch?
