Thanks for letting me know, Pat. Think I’ll knit the simple cardigan instead then!

Happy knitting Mary! This was my 2nd design and has always been a favourite with customers, knitters and me!

Hi Pat, I don’t suppose you have this pattern in age 2-3 years, do you? I have knitted it several times and really love it. I’ve been asked for the next size up!

        Hi Claire,
Unfortunately I haven't sized this pattern up to larger sizes yet. It takes a lot of adding up of sts due to the hood especially and I'm working on other bits at the moment. If I do upsize it I'll let you know. So glad you love it. :-)

Is this knitted flat and sewn together or do you pick up the stitches for the sleeves?

        Hi Heather ...
The sts for the sleeves and hood are picked up so the only sewing is the underarm and side seam which I use mattress st for.

@Pat E: I'm sure there's a YouTube tutorial for picking up stitches! Thanks for the reply.

@Heather H: When picking up sts in garter st always go through the lumpy bit at the end of the row to get a neat edge ... YouTube has a tutorial for most things :-)

@Pat E: So have I but I still think your work is extra neat! Especially plain knit it is harder to keep neat than anyone would think.

@Vix: Agree here, garter stitch quite hard to keep neat :)
