    About

I wanted to make an elegant scarf that could be dressed up or down accordingly to suit the occasion and Cascade Heritage Silk's combination of silk and merino wool fitted the bill perfectly.
The stitch pattern I chose was a combination of fan tails and King Charles Brocade Lace and so I named the pattern, Nell, for Nell Gwynn, King Charles II's most famous and beautiful mistress. She, I believe, was very adaptable - I imagine she had to be! - and this scarf is pretty versatile, too, as it can be worn in different ways.
I'm looking forward to wearing it as it has a lovely, luxurious feel and drape and blue is, too, my favourite colour.
