This is the 5th of these blankets I have made this year and I love how every one comes up completely different
I never usually include black in my palette, but decided to make a feature of it here to give the colour scheme a dramatic Mexican flavour.
As with my Minack Days Blanket, I interspersed plain colours with the graduated yarns.
This time I experimented with a 2-colour border - again using a bit of black to frame the blanket.
Rather than knitting separate squares and having a massive job of joining them all together, I knit it in 4 strips: 1 x 6 squares. I find this easier to join at the end.
The blankets take about a month to make, knitting approx a square a day.
