    Thought I would get ahead for a November birthday. All went fine until the saddle shoulders; not normally a problem but I could NOT get this to work. So I abandoned it for a while and did a few other things. I'm back on it now! AND I'VE GIVEN UP THE SHOULDERS! abandoned the pattern and done my own saddle shoulders. Either I'm thick or losing it, but I'm sure the pattern is wrong. Emailed King Cole for help but no response.

      Helen I too am struggling with the shoulders. Any help would greatly be appreciated. This pattern was bad from the get go-7 balls of yarn for a men’s sweater?? I had to order another 6 balls! Now I can’t put the darn thing together as the shoulders are definitely not right.

        I had a reply from the pattern people, sending me a diagram which I’ll try to attach here somehow. I think in the end I just made it up!!
