My daughter lives everything retro. I happened upon YouTube videos of mandalas and knew I had to make one for her. She lives earth tones. This is what I have after 2 weeks ...
This is Helen Shrimpton's Mandala Madness.
There are some amazing designers who give us their work for free: it would be polite to give them credit when showing off THEIR designs.
The designer of this is call Helen Shrimpton and the blanket is called mandala madness. The lady in the youtube video's is called Esther aka in a nutshell. I've made four of these so far. Three in two colours each and the forth is just one colour.
Karen, Your choice of colors are stunning and your work is just amazing.
Your daughter likes retro, and that technique was in a crochet book from the era 70's. It's amazing that things from yesterday add class today.
Thank you. Isn't it great that what's old is new again? I'm even collecting vintage pyrex and corelle ware! Just got a vintage kitchen cannister set to g with my vintage kitchen table and chairs!!!
I love this, my daughter is the same ' retro hippie ' . She's having her first child due September and I would love some crochet patterns for her and the baby. The Medala is just beautiful.
