Over the summer I became fascinated with the idea of traditional Japanese bento bags, which are sewn using an interesting construction and useful for almost any purpose. I decided to make a knitted version, and this really was such fun to knit! There are no sewn seams whatsoever in the construction, and the bag folds flat when not in use. The clever addition of a button makes the straps suitable for shoulder wear, or secure the tie to make a cute handle trim. Next up is to make a striped version, I think...
