I originally started knitting in May last year because someone suggested it might help with my medical condition. I have chronic migrainous vertigo, which I've had since 2014. Knitting has been the only thing I've found that helps distract me from my pain, and actually helps me get over the worst migraine attacks, while I'm learning an awesome skill in the process. I can now proudly say I'm obsessed with knitting. I actually don't go anywhere without my knitting bag!
For this project, I was slightly concerned that it was worked in 2 sections only- and it took me a while to get my head round (literally!!) the pattern when I got to the neck. But once I had, it was like one of those light bulb moments!!
I differed from the pattern when changing needles from the ribbing, and decided not to reverse the ribbing. I think the pattern tells you to do that so the cable panel stands out more, but I preferred it when the ribbing blended into the cable panel- as shown in the pictures.

Do you know what the bust size is for the medium?

Found email I’d sent to Bergere De France Knitting Help at time...
“It is a fairly chunky cardigan this one, the cocoon is quite a loose weave light weight chunky yarn.
The actual finished measurement for the Size S is 40" around (it's a straight jacket so this reflects the hip size more than chest) & 29" long.
The Size M is 43" and 29 1/2" long.
I'd say you'd probably only need the small size, enjoy it, it's a lovely looking jacket.“

The instructions are given as to how to knit together with the front pieces, how long the back should be before starting to knit 3/3 but no direct instructions as or how to knit the back. There is no mention of the sleeves on the back as the sleeves knitted for the front are not large enough to cover the front and the back of the arms.
Please can anyone help.

Of course you can ask me for advice if you get stuck. Would love to know how you get on!!

I have therefore now given up on it. I just can’t get my head around it.
As time is going by I have sourced a different pattern and will be knitting that instead.
Thank you very much for all your help.
