    About

This is one of the projects I am most proud of! I started it spontaneously after the summer holidays 2014, when I realised how much time I would spend just waiting for my daughter during her ballet classes and other appointments.......I was in dire need of a project I could easily take with me in my handbag, and so I decided to make a granny square blanket as a Christmas present for Lone. Once I had picked a yarn and decided on the colours and the design, I crocheted everywhere: in the car, at the ballet school, during a flight to London and back, on the train..... Once Lone spotted me crocheting and asked if I was making another potholder, so I named my secret project "Potholder Blanket". Weeks later she caught me again and said "Another one? You must have made at least ten by now!" - it was about no.73......But I managed to finish the squares the week before Christmas, spent an afternoon arranging them to distribute the colours evenly, and then sewed like mad.
