Thank you Pam for your kind words.
The yarn looks nicer in real life. It’s hard to photgraph that type of garment properly with no model so you have a good imagination to appreciate it!
The pattern calls for Sunday short rows. I have to say I was feeling quite proud of myself for recently mastering short rows at all and now I'm not again - I've never heard of a Sunday short row. And this pattern says it's for a beginner? Hmmmm, suspect it might be one of those deceptively simple ones...
But what the heck! - you have a lovely cardigan in a fabulous colour, so who cares if the front is fashionably dipped?
The Sunday short rows are actually easier than the wrapped IMHO. I think the dip comes from the fronts being angled back. If you pull it tight it doesn’t dip but it dips a bit in the photos too. I don’t know if blocking would have changed that in retrospect. It is lovely to wear and the wool I used with some silk gives it a nice drape I find.
Thanks Jennifer. It feels lovely on. Lovely weight and silky fibre. I might try and get a headless shot of myself! The bottom edge near opening is not smooth due to the knitting method but it is very hard to get it that way and I haven’t advanced to blocking yet.
I do not think blocking it would fix that. Did you have to pick the stitches up, up yhe front? That is probably the problem you have too many stitches across the band.
