    About

I have longed to make this pattern for the girls and decided to make this for when they (hopefully) return to Aus next year. I used the yarn recommended by OGE designs and think this is my new favourite yarn, so beautifully soft and easy to knit with. I will now start another one in a different colour for the eldest girl. A very well written pattern, extremely easy to follow and the 11 stitch repeat centre pattern is easily remembered without needing the pattern in front of you. Highly recommend this pattern.

Wow this is beautiful and I love that colour. I have to say I don't have the problem of having more than one thing in the go at a time, But I do have the problem of too much wool I would have to be knitting til I'm 100 as well. Oh well there could be worse things.lol

Thanks for your comments Michelle. I am currently in Vienna visiting my granddaughters and they have been wearing these sweaters and they look beautiful. I left my needles at home but as soon as I get back to Oz, I will be click clacking to work my way through my stash! Especially as I have another little girl to knit for in NZ (best friends new granddaughter).

Yet to train myself not to keep adding to the yarn stash though! I will need to be knitting until I am 100 to use it all up.

I knitted it exactly to pattern instructions (for the 2 y.o size) and it is 35cm/almost 14” from cast on edge to shoulder.

Love it Lyn. It is definitely one I would like to do some time, love the colour. I am knitting cardigans for my eight year old twin granddaughters at the moment.

Thanks Jennifer, I do love this colour & have scarves, tops and even nail polish in this bright shade. Definitely give this one a go, you will enjoy it. I bought the yarn when it was on special & will definitely be stocking up when the next ‘special’ surfaces!

Yes Christine I know what you mean about resisting the urge to start a new project. I have now ‘trained’ myself to only have one small project on the go, along with an easy pram blanket to pick up when I want something super easy (garter stitch).

Loving this colour. Apparently purples and lilacs are the in colours for 2018. As always your work is fantastic ! Thanks for sharing. And I agree the yarn is an absolute dream to work with.

Many thanks for your kind comments. The 2nd sweater is in the Blackcurrant shade that you used on yours, so great colours that suit their blonde hair
