There's been a lot of trial and error to find pattern suitable for the look I want for one of our guest bedrooms in France. I tried a purl soho pattern first but I found the stitch quite tedious and after about 15cm of over 200 stitches I decided enough was enough and unravelled, the knitting that is, not me..
Then I found this pattern, all was going well until the first row of pattern following a garter stitch edge. The pattern calls for 207 stitches, but uses only 205. So, I unpicked (only one row this time) and increased the integrated edging by 1 stitch on each side and off we go...let's hope I get to the end this time!
Update 04/05 - Half way there! 19 of 38 pattern repeats completed...looking good!
Update 06/11 - So extended the length of the throw to 60 pattern repeats so that it will be big enough to be a foot warmer on a 4'6" double bed. Also completed several other projects during the lifespan of this one. Finished now and very pleased with the result...phew!
