This looked like a really flattering and comfortable top. The yarn used in the pattern was not longer available, so I found some beautiful multi-tonal silk on sale to substitute with.
The top is supposed to be knitted with the knobbly side out in order to highlight the little runs of contrasting stitch, but I found that the colour changes in my substitute yarn overpowered the runs of contrast, so I ended up making it with the smooth side outside. This worked much better, and the runs of contrasting stitch now give it a nice amount of texture.
The other change I made was to make the front bottom a little more square. As designed, I found that the shaping at the bottom was a bit too long and curled too much (perhaps because of the change above).
This was really quick to knit, and I love it!
