I wanted to make something practical as well as pretty. I found the pattern on Etsy. It was created by a sweet lady called Mei Zi and is available for purchase as a PDF Download from her shop there called LittleAsiaGirl (USA crochet terms are used throughout).
Yarn is worked double for the slipper using a 5.50mm crochet hook.
In addition I worked a row of (USA) single crochet stitches (UK double crochet) around the top edge using a 4.00mm hook and single yarn. I then made a 105 chain cord again using yarn single and my 4.00mm hook. With a tapestry (wool) needle and beginning and ending two inches from centre back I wove it in and out between the edge stitches. This allows adjustment for a better fit..
Most crochet slippers look like they would just fall-off!
I added a crochet flower instead of a button trim.
I'm working with six new colours. Lavender Blue is just finished.
