I made this for a gift for a friend, and to practice knitting lace.

    About

My nearest and dearest died recently. While he was in the hospital, one of his nurses wore a shawl that she'd made from this pattern. When I admired it, she shared the pattern with me. It is the first in a series of "grief knitting" projects that I'm sure will occupy me for months to come. Knitting soothes my soul, and heaven knows I could use some of that at this time.

I do love the colours. Calming. I really started knitting when my 96 year old friend passed. Billie was also the one who started me knitting a couple months before she passed. Thank you for sharing.

I hope the knitting therapy is helpful to you. I love the colors that you have chosen. Both the colors and the pattern remind me of the beach - sand, water and waves. What a good choice; the beach itself is a soothing place.
