The Japanese Garden Shawl is a summery shawl inspired by the texture of the bourette silk I used for this pattern and the carefully arranged Japenese gardens.
Zen-like concentric circles radiate out from the centre of this lovely shawl, which is visually stunning and surprisingly simple and meditative to knit. I begin by knitting the central circle in the round. Then I attached the curved wings, the alternating stripes adorned by short row flowers. The yarn is BC Garn’s Soft Silk, a bourette silk with a beautiful texture.
