    About

I wanted to have a go at knitting a hooded cardigan for the first time. When I found this pattern on love knitting it looked just perfect to knit for three year old Aidan who lives in the U.K. I made the 5-6 year old size but slightly less length, as my gauge is always smaller and as I do not see Aidan because I live on the other side of the world, I am not too sure how big he is now! It took a lot longer to complete than I expected as there were lots of parts that needed extra effort to get a really neat finish; notably the pockets and the seam on the hood which I grafted with a darning needle to make an invisible seam. I spent quite a bit of time on youtube looking up and following the neatest way to do things.
