    About

This one turned out a little smaller than I expected, so I’ve started another in a larger size. We are travelling to Melbourne for my other sons wedding this weekend and it’s a chilly 15 degrees and wet, so hopefully she will get at least one wear out of the jumper before it’s put away for grandchild number two.
I found this project tricky to start with as it’s knitted on circular needles, upside down and all in one piece, no seams. I’ve not knitted with double pointed needles (other than cabling) before, so the sleeves were a new experience for me, but knitting with four needles was easier than I expected once I got going. Great not having to sew the pieces together at the end!

Lovely jacket Paula, I really enjoyed knitting this earlier this year. What yarn did you use for this? I always use circular needles for most of my knitting as I find it makes knitting so much easier. Not keen on dp’s though.

Actually can’t remember, will check when I get home, I’m in Melbourne for a few days at the moment, it was the recommended yarn though. I found the do’s easier to use the more I got into it, but definitely not a first choice. Also found the SSK (decreasing stitch at the end of the round) a little untidy do changed it and was much happier with the result.
