    About

I saw this pattern 2 yrs ago and ever since, it has been on my bucket list. I wanted to do it in natural colors but in more affordable yarn including what was in my stash, without changing the tension/gauge too much.
So I mail ordered from my homeland England the Rowan chunky and also purchased in the US the Lion Yarn Homespun.
Easy pattern to follow. The most difficult part was following the intarsia pattern, trying to keep all the different strands of yarn from getting tangled and to keep them loose at the back. The other thing was tidying up all those loose ends. Very time consuming. Otherwise the rest was a quick knit.
Markers were placed at regular intervals so that the sides could be matched when joining.
All yarn was knitted using a single strand
The coat turned out just as I imagined. It's soft and a good heavy weight for chilly weather.
