In Canada, we love our Tim Horton's coffee but it can be hot! Some of us use travel mugs to save the environment but if they are not with us at the time we need a brew, we take the paper cup. I realized that the disposable sleeves were not necessary if there were washable ones and so I designed these sleeves. For the pattern, I used a real medium cup and chained around it, then joined the ends and continued crocheting until the sleeve was wide enough. It has to be a bit larger in order to slip it onto the cup easily. I can make these in less than an hour and a half, so I made lots and have them on hand to give as host gifts, stocking stuffers etc. We keep ours in our cars so they are always handy. (Note: Each sleeve took much less than 1 ball but I couldn't add fractions for the yarns.)
