I was browsing crochet baby blankets on YouTube and found this one featured.
I thought the yarn was really pretty and the blanket design more modern than the usual ones you see.
There is a link below to the FREE written pattern and on the same web page underneath it is the video Tutorial link.
The two row pattern is quite simple.. just U.S. single crochet stitches with a chain space between and working into the space between on the following row. You just have to pay special attention at the beginning and ending of each row to keep the edges going straight. You will need two huge 300g balls to complete the blanket. The yarn is quite expensive so to avoid the additional cost of a third ball I didn't add the optional contrasting border. It looks fine without it.
Just made four new blankets! I can't resist the fabulous colour choices. I tried one in darker colours and was quite pleased with the result. Modern mums seem to like something a bit different!

Here is a Link to the YouTube video.
I bought just 2 BIG balls of yarn for my blanket. It doesn't really need a border around, but go ahead and buy a third ball for that if price isn't an issue.
There is reference to a written pattern and Link given.
Hope this helps..Marilyn
