I love to knit. I am passionate about it. I learned when I was a little girl. Both my grandmothers knitted and so did my mom. I always loved crafting, and I took to knitting, sewing, stitching at a very young age. My daughter is 10 now and she has also been knitting for a few years. It is a family tradition, passed down from our mothers. We love sitting down, having mate (Argentinian tea) and a long chat, all together. Different family generations united by needles and yarn.
Why I knit? I love the yarn colours, the textures, the tools, the endless combination possibilities, the learning of new techniques... most of all, I love the mathematical structure behind it... counting, decreasing, measuring... I am a physicist and an engineer, knitting is an extension of my analytical capabilities into a creative activity. I knit because it makes me happy. It gives me joy. I knit because I can not imagine not to :-).
