I wanted to try something easy to felt and also to experiment with different textures. I knitted up using some sirdar firefly as well as the filzwool to add a bit of sparkle! I then put in the washer for 10 mins on a 60 degree wash and stretched over the top of a large tin to get the shape! When things are being 'felted' in the washer its a combination of hot water and agitation to get the fibres to knit together that creates the thickening and stiffening of the wool. I wanted to add some more agitation so I threw in a few (clean) dog toys and these did the trick beautifully!
