    About

This pattern called to me before we even bought our new house. The colours suggested aren't quite as muted as those shown in the pattern but are lovely none the less.

Can I ask did you not use the colours and wool in the original pattern ?

I used the colours which were listed in the pattern but I'm not sure that these are the same as the colours that were used for the throw that is shown in the pattern. Lighting may account for some of the differences but even so I do think the pattern shows slightly more muted tones. I've seen other examples of the throw both her and on other internet sites and the colours are close to mine. I suspect that the original may have been knitted using a different yarn entirely.

Beautifully done. Can you tell me - if you use a size two needle what length did you use? It doesn't look pieced. Thank you.

I used a pair of 16" needles for the Fair Isle section, I don't really enjoy knitting with circulars. I can't remember precisely but I think I probably used them for the borders as well with lots of shoving and corks to stop the stitches falling off when I left the work.

Your throw is beautiful! It caught my eye immediately. Would you mind telling us the colorways you used?

I used the colours as listed in the pattern, they don't seem to be identical to the colours originally used but it does work very well. If you click on the pattern link it takes you to the information and gives you the full range of colours used.

Do you take commissions if so how much would you charge if l supplied the yarn?

Sorry, I hadn't realised that you could comment on my pictures. I'm afraid I don't take commissions, I knit for pleasure and occasionally for friends but this means I can pick and choose what I do and when I do it. This throw took me about three months fitting it around the rest of my life.
