    About

I loved the look of this pattern and fancied having a 'go' at the entrelac technique.

    Yarns

    Needles & Hooks

    • Double Point 5.00mm (US 8)
    • Single Point 4.00mm (US 6)
    • Single Point 5.00mm (US 8)
    • Single Point 5.50mm (US 9)

    Accessories

    • Stitch Holder
Other : Think I found a mistake in the pattern for shaping the left side of the neck as it didn't match the right side. Easily sorted though. Most disappointing aspect was the yarn itself.

    Measurements

    124cm

Notes: Very loose fit so I made smaller than I might otherwise but made it longer. I had to order extra yarn and was lucky enough to find additional balls after the colour was discontinued or out of stock just about everywhere, including my favourite loveknitting!

Very disappointed at the number of balls with knots to join thread and where these resulted in a sudden colour change which was never going to work. They even give you advice about transitions when you start a new ball. I needed additional yarn to be sure I could address that and the knots used within five or six of the balls. Beautiful jewel colours though.

Almost finished the second sleeve, which is just straightforward stocking stitch then it's matching up the pointy edges on the shoulders before doing the neck.I'll post a full pic when it is done. Thanks for your encouragement!

Hi Judy, I am making this pattern, and found the mistake you mention. However, now I am trying to work out how to join the shoulders. I understand how they slot in & match up, but wondered if I should have cast off all these stitches as the pattern still has them on the needle. What did you do to join them? Kate

@Kate C: oh dear. Now you are asking! It us such a long time ago.

If I remember rightly I had both shoulders with points meeting up. I think I took one set of squares away from the front so that they interlocked. Whatever you do you I think will need to have completed shapes but "staggered" so the front and back interlock like the teeth on a cogwheel or zip.

They aren't big squares like some entrelac patterns and I don't think it messed up the for because it is quite a sloppy pattern anyway.

I've been away from knitting and into artwork for a variety of reasons so I'm sorry it isn't fresher in my mind.

        Good luck.
