    About

When Gramps died in 2011, Grammy stopped enjoying most of her hobbies, including knitting.
December of 2014, found me on vacation visiting family for a week and a half. I ran out of projects too quickly, and asked Grammy to go to the LYS with me. She agreed stating, “I guess I could poke around.” While checking out, she informed the shop owner I had gotten “pretty good” at crocheting (huge compliment, coming from somebody who has been knitting for almost 80 years!) and should learn how to knit. My response was, “Oh yeah? Are you going to teach me?” To which she sassily replied, “Yes, I will teach you!”
The next morning, she helped me start a green alpaca wool hat. While patiently waiting between giving me directions, she picked up a partially-completed project she has half-heartedly been working on for months and finished it. The weekend following, she made two small pairs of mittens and told everybody that she “must have the knitting bug again!”
We have both had that bug ever since

    Accessories

    • Tapestry Needle
    • Stitch Markers

Notes: This was based on verbal instructions from Grammy. It turned out a little small initially, and she said that this was because the yarn would stretch a bit. She was right. After wearing it a handful of times, fit perfectly.
