    About

Little Jim who is 18 months has dual heritage, white and Asian, so he needs little friends to identify with. My daughter and I found a doll from America that reflects his colouring and lovely dark hair. Then I found my baby doll from the 60s and a Sasha baby from the 80s that fitted the bill nicely. It's been such a cold Summer so far that they all needed woolies to keep them warm. I found the Poppy Cardigan in your free patterns. It's such an elegant little pattern - knitted all in one with no seams. I had such fun finding lovely bits of yarn to make one for each doll. I adjusted the pattern a bit for the smaller doll and fiddled about with several balls on the go at once to make the front bands match the neck and welts. I made simple zigzags in contrasting colours when the yarn ran out. I'd like to keep making them all Summer but I've run out of dolls!
