    I've always felt inspired to design knitting patterns and the colours of the yarn reminded me of the stone and terracotta colours of Italian buildings - I had taken some detailed photos of the façade of the Doge's Palace on my last trip to Venice which I used as inspiration.

      Love the textural nature of this piece. Fab choice of colours too. Not overly complicated either, which is always my issue - technique over design - just because you can doesn't mean you should!
