    About

Years ago I used a cabin fever pattern for a diamond poncho & made many. I've lost the pattern, but suspect I'm still using it. This one is adapted from the original with 111 cast on & knit on size 11 needles instead of nine. Because it's for a lady of larger build. The poncho only needed 5 skeins. Amanda's is cast on of 91 stitches size 9 needles. She would have liked it a little larger. The neck was increased over the pattern because she wanted a 'cowl' neckline. Without the increase neck this would have only used 3 cakes of yarn.

My daughter is making one using original cast on and needle size 9. She is using a different type of yarn. I think I like hers better!

Pat's poncho is finished. Sunday was so hot, I didn't ask her to try it on. She promised she would send a picture. You will have it as soon as she sends it. :)

I would love to access the knitting pattern for a smaller size, petite, being 5'2" - can you please help? I have tried but could not find it anywhere. It is perfect for petites. HAPPY NEW YEAR CC UK
