    About

Sadly I divorced last year and have been busy the past 6 months renovating the house I moved into. Whilst I'm up for decorating and maintenance the bigger tasks like bathrooms and kitchens, called for the professionals. I work full time, so took holiday to be there when the work was being done. When I wasn't needed for decision making I'd cocoon myself away in the lounge to knit this cushion cover. The colours I chose are from the Rowan felted tweed range and co-ordinate with my curtains. I had fun working out my colour transitions and the pattern repeats throughout. It was absorbing and helped take my mind off all the chaos! It was my escape and as it grew it kept me warm in the chilly January days! The buttons I used were from my Grandma's button tin and must be at least 70 years old, so I have a lovely reminder of her too. We both shared a passion for knitting and sewing. Knitting has been my salvation during the past 6 months, keeping me sane and helping me through the dark days
