    About

I always make knits for other people, never for myself. For years I've put off learning to cable thinking it was too difficult but I finally decided during my recovery from surgery to use some yarn that was in my stash to create something for me. Now I've lost concentration a few times and had to undo but I'm actually enjoying this and not finding it difficult at all to use a cable needle. I can't believe I've not done this sooner. In fact my next project I want to do a gansey for my dad so will have to totally embrace the cable. My gran taught me to knit then I had a break of about 20 years before picking up needles again. I'm loving my knitpro interchangeables and have surprised myself with some intricate lace knits. Loving the relaxing click of the needles. It's so destressing.
Finishing off the left front of this cardi and sleeve before adding the ribbed edge and a button. Can't wait to wear something I've creates for myself. Plus it gives me more room for new stash!
