We visited Cherry Tree Farm in Aspley Guise to do some cherry picking. While we were there we came across some old bee hives. It inspired me but also saddened me that our lovely humble bee is at risk of being wiped out. I put this design together using Creative Linen by Rowan yarns. It is a lovely yarn to work with. The design is worked from top to bottom so you can easily adjust the length of the main body and sleeves. The trees, bees, hive, are all knitted separately and then stitched onto the garment. The leaves are using simply lazy daisy embroidery stitch.
