    About

I love the look of Helen Shrimpton's Cosmic Blanket and as I had some of the yarn in my stash I decided to give it a go. Part one is finished today 5/5/18 which means I am already a couple of weeks behind but I shall plod along and get there in the end. I am not a great chart reader and have relied on the online tutorials and have to say have done stitches I have never done before and some I have not even heard of before so it has been challenging but enjoyable.......roll on Part 2

12/5/18 - Part 2 finished despite being un-hooked for 3 days due to an insect bite on my little finger which caused by my hand to swell to double the size! This round was easier to get into the rhythm of, onto part 3...........
20/5/18 - Part 3 done and dusted, loved the star stitch and more to come.....

29/5/18 - Part 4 now finished rocking along.......

Think you need the walnut to highlight the paler colours but can understand how it throws you out of comfort zone

Walnut will never ever again be in my comfort zone I thought it was bad enough when I used the navy to do the granny square blanket seemed like a good idea at the time

I have just started this also Sarah, a big learning curve. Difficult to put down. Yours looks great. I have changed the colours which does not help 😱😊. Just to make you feel better I am a few rows being you!

Just heading in for part 2. Every upcoming row I think I'll never manage that but always do should have more confidence in my abilities

@Vix: How I wish there were universal terms for stitches. Just completed row 20 as trebles then had to redo it as DC. That is the trouble I auto correct and tbh US terms make more sense to me 🤔🙄

@Vix: Yes that was a bit of a surprise that the tutorial is in US and chart in English I have had to keep checking myself too. I am sure that is going some way to making it harder translating it before stitching it!
