Have thrown caution to the wind and am knitting fronts and back together. Now am I brave enough to knit the sleeves in with the main body? Managed the sleeves, but realised at the end that it wasn’ recommended! Always read the pattern first, guilty as charged for not doing so. Wrong side looks a nightmare of ends to darn in. Hey ho, a bad weather day job and this is it!

Alternatively, if you’re using different wool to that recommended then that will affect the tension.

As for knitting sleeves in with body, if you look on page 7 of the instructions, under “neckband” just where I didn’t think to look, it says that there are more rows on the sleeve edges than the body but that it should fit together. I think I had come to that conclusion myself, calculating the number of stitches and rows, it just wouldn’t work out. I think I knitted sleeves a couple of sizes up to overcome this and fiddled about with the decreasing as I went along. I hate seams on garments like this! Good luck with it.

Hope it works out for you. I was a colour green missing because they had run out.
