    About

Knitting has literally saved me from going insane. 2011 as a nurse I had an accident at work caused by a patient grabbing and holding onto my neck. It resulted in a prolapsed disc in my neck, severe nerve damage, shoulder pain, numb right arm and so much pain.
Most nights I was unable to sleep, knitting kept me entertained distracting me from pain. With the use of the Internet and sites such as love knitting , obtaining yarn and modern patterns were always at my fingertips. Other websites always helped me to connect to other knitters.
Now I'm still in pain and unable to work through the disability. Unlucky this has happened to me but I'm lucky I can knit all day and connect to other knitters via the Internet and knitting podcasts. Feel free to add me on Ravelry. I've always got something on the needles. My next challenge off my knitting journey is to master colourwork and write my own knitting pattern. Izzy xx

Beautiful work. Hope the meditative power of knitting keeps you from going mad, appears it helps a lot of people in this way. I taught myself to knit when grieving, it has helped me through bad times too, and I mostly turn to it when stressed by work. Keep the lovely work coming, enjoy contemplating the colours, and your mind focussed and in the flow of the work. All best!
