    About

I needed a summer weight shawl for cool evenings, so added eyelets after ssk on row 13. The yarn is very fine 2 ply fingering weight that I hand dyed. This shawl weighs just under 50 grams. I block to the max when wet then when half dry I release the pins and leave to fully dry. The end result a very drapey and lightweight shawl.

Love the shades and the addition of the eyelet holes. I have tried knitting with 2 ply, but usually give up, I am not as brave as you!

Thank you, this was knitted on big needles so not that much of a hassle.

@Ianthe H: I never thought of using large needles. I gave away heaps of unused 2ply to the Op (charity) shop recently as I had bought it to knit a cardi for me that needed 2 balls knitted at once!

@Lyn R: Oh no, I did the same with some very old sock yarn, now I want to knit socks and have to purchase more yarn. Sometimes us knitters are way to generous.
