    About

A fun stash buster project to use up some pretty pink t-shirt yarn. I used Lincraft Spaghetti yarn in dark pink and ballet pink. The pattern is from the book, Crochet: The Complete Step by Step Guide (DK, 2014): see the DK page <www.dk.com/uk/9781409334675-crochet/>. I modified the pattern a little bit to use DC stitches throughout and to make a "mini" size as well. There are lots of free patterns online for similar designs.

Hey Paula! Love the baskets but the pattern link doesn't seem to be working - could you share? Thanks!

Hi Michele. Thanks for your comment. The pattern I used is from the book, Crochet: The Complete Step by Step Guide (DK, 2014): see the DK page here <www.dk.com/uk/9781409334675-crochet/>. The basic idea, working in the round in DCsts, is to make a circle beginning with 6DC and increasing by 6sts in each round until you get the size of the base you want (eg, 42sts for large, 36sts for medium, 30sts for small, and 24sts for mini). Then work in rounds of 1DC in each st (beginning with 1 round in the back loop only) until the basket reaches the desired height. The handles are made with a few chs and skipping the same number of sts.Hope this helps! The book, btw, has lots of other fun projects, too so is well worth a look.
