    About

This was my first attempt at fair isle but it has sat in my "projects to complete" drawer for many months alongside two other jumpers which only need sleeves adding to them.

This project is made in 4 panels which start wide at the bottom and gradually decrease in width as they get towards the top. As this is made in chunky yarn it didn't take all that long to complete each panel, pretty much a couple of hours of an evening watching the soaps, but I am one of those people who hates the concentration of sowing things together! Circular knitting all the way!

The neckband doesn't require you to pick up any stiches as all needed stiches are left on stitch holders at the end of each panel. However this did leave a touch of a gap between the panel sowing and the neckband which was easily fixed with a couple of sown stitches.

All in all its a comfy oversized sweater which will keep you warm in the winter, perfect for curling up with a movie and a pair of circular knitting needles!

Notes: This pattern comes in two sizes 8-12 and 14-18.... It knits up to a comfortable size, I made the 14-18 as I am quite broad shouldered. I decided to leave off the fringes as it's not really my style but you would need an extra ball of cranberry yarn to be able to do this.
