    About

I started this jacket not knowing who I was making it for, but once it was almost finished I knew it would suit Tilly, although I had already sewn on button band for a boy, but does a toddler mind which side buttons do up. The bright smiley Apple shaped buttons complete the jacket nicely, as Tilly is forever smiling and when she’s not smiling she’s eating.

Thanks Alison, I still have lots of this Patons Fab yarn left to knit up a few more projects. Looking back I should probably have tried to start all the pieces on the same part of the yarn, so stripes matched, but perhaps next time.

Thanks Jennifer for your comments. I never cease to be amazed at how expensive buttons can be. I was in Lincraft and all the buttons that I fell head over heels in love with were nearly $4 each! I had 3 different cardigans with me to buy for, but luckily found some really old tubes of buttons at the back that were probably left over from when Australia converted to decimal currency!
