    Needles & Hooks

    • Crochet Hook 6.00mm (US 10)

    Accessories

Other : Just get a comfortable bunch of pillows around you, potentially a cup of your favorite tea, and you're set!

    Measurements

    130cm x 148cm

Notes: I plan on working on the sky blue parts with a 6.5 hook instead of a 6, simply cause my yarn is wool mix.

Yep - I’ve just run out of red. I got stuck on the flower - I don’t think the written pattern is correct, as I couldn’t get them to look the same as the photos, but found the designer’s video on this site which shows how she does it :-)

Hello! Yeah, the pattern was a bit confusing, but I guess as long as you had fun doing it ^^

Hi Tanvi, I also ( like others who have commented), have had difficulty with this pattern. I’ve made all squares and hexagons. I’ve made one and a half octagons and find I don’t have enough yarn to complete project. My tension is usually tight, so I should have yarn left over, not short. I need to order more orange seville and red. This will be my third order ( from Australia) as one of the blue’s was not on the recommended yarn requirements. It’s really frustrating and I’ve now spent $30 plus on delivery alone. Im wondering how you and others have fared.

I knew that I would have some trouble with this one so I used some old yarn (cheating!) but yeah I have a friedn who tried this from scratch had said she didn't have enough red or sky blue.
Totally get your frustration with ordering! Sadly it's a hit or miss with patterns. Hope you had fun doing this project anyway ^^

Hi Tanvi, your blanket looks great. I’m just starting out on this one and am struggling to understand the tension instructions. How big are your hexagons? I’m using the paintbox and a 6mm hook and mine are about 10inches. My tension is normally v good but the pattern seems to suggest they should only be 6 and 3/4 inches?!

Hi Emma - I am the same. My test hexagons was just over 10 inches and I was thinking I’d have to go down to a 4 hook to get the tension recommended. They don’t look that small in the pictures.

@Nicole H: I’ve just done my first square one and it’s 17cm, so I wonder whether the tension description is a typo and it should say the square motif measures 17cm?

Mine all seem to fit together so I’m just going to keep going with the 6mm!

@Nicole H: Hello! Sorry it took me a while to reply. I think they meant the side of a hexagon and not across the vertices. But yeah, I see what you mean with the tension needing to be super accurate
