    About

Part of my "Finishing projects" project. I don't usually have the patience to finish a full cardigan but I keep lustfully buying the yarn for the ideal dream projects. So I was determined to actually finish this cardigan, and I did! It is fairly easy knitting, the directions were mostly clear. It took about 6-7 months since I finished several small projects and have some other longer ones going meantime.

It's a shawl collar, saddle sleeve cardigan with a double knit edging. I am very excited about the pockets, my first knit-in pockets! They are quite easy but I've never done them before. I love pockets in sweaters, so handy. Once you've figured out brioche stitch it is very easy and soothing to knit, Nancy Marchant's book has thorough and clear instructions with excellent instructive photos and very nice projects. I often knit smaller sections of this on the bus on the way to work.

I love this color green, it is a heather with tiny bits of gold that brighten it up.
