Using up leftover yarn In an effort to decrease the stash. Have wanted to knit a waistcoat for ages and my great nephews upcoming birthday was an ideal opportunity. A very quick and easy knit.
Almost up to starting the pattern at top and doing the sleeves, but am knitting a tunic top for one of the girls at the same time. I ended up picking up some yarn yesterday in Spotlight at Wollongong as I had previously been unable to get it at my local Spotlight. So there goes my New Years resolution not to buy any more yarn π§Ά.......
I am so glad someone else has noticed that about Spotlight buttons, 5 buttons in a box for $6.00. I remember when they were in long cylinders and they were 5 cents or 10 cents each. Admittedly the buttons in the boxes are very nice but by the time you buy wool and a pattern it certainly adds up.Now I sound like a moaning money.lol.ππππ Big W has a good range of wool, and buttons.
Thanks for your comments Michelle, I think the buttons were from Big W, as Spotlight seem to have gone across to little boxes of a specific number of buttons, usually one short of the number you require, hence the need to buy 2 expensive boxes!
