    About

I just loved the pattern. It is suitable for beginners because it is in garter stitch but the shaping of the yoke is quite challenging. You need very long needles to hold all the stitches. Annoyingly, I bought the required amount of wool and I have a complete ball of each colour left.

Notes: It was slightly small for 12 months. My grandson is 9 months and it fitted him.

What a lovely jacket I love blue and white stripes they look so fresh - completely agree over having wool over with some patterns but at least we know it’ll come in useful somewhere along the line 😉

Heather, this is so beautiful. Great colours. On the subject of long needles, have you tried circular needles. I knit virtually everything with them now, as it is so much easier especially with articles knitted all in one piece.

Thanks Lyn. I have tried circular needles and use them if I have to. I still prefer old fashioned single point needles though.
